Born in Cheadle, Cheshire, Anne was brought up in Lymington on the edge of The New Forest, Hampshire and the famous sailing waters of The Solent. After many years working in a variety of commercial posts in London, she moved to Argyll with her husband in 2001 and began to paint as a hobby. It quickly turned into a passion and she now enjoys working as a marine and wildlife artist from her home in Tighnabruaich. Anne is a versatile, self taught artist with a keen interest in developing and experimenting with new techniques and styles. She exhibits work regularly through selected art galleries across Scotland and many of her paintings are held in private collections around the world. Her collection of work is varied and covers everything from vibrant seascapes, yachting, coastal scenery to animals, portraiture and the occasional abstract! She likes to combine her work as an artist with supporting a number of animal welfare charities which you will find listed on the Links Page. |
