|About The Artist|
Born in Cheadle, Cheshire, Anne was brought up in Lymington on the edge of The New Forest and by the famous sailing waters of The Solent.
She moved away to London in her early twenties and worked for many years in a variety of commercial posts. In 2001, she and her husband relocated to Tighnabruaich, Argyll to enjoy rural living and a wonderful natural landscape.
On joining the very active local Art Group, Anne ’caught the bug’ of painting for pleasure; a hobby that quickly turned into a passion for art that didn’t go away.
Surrounded by stunning views and living in an area that attracts a host of artists and art lovers, yachtsmen, walkers and wildlife watchers, inspiration is never far away.
Anne is a self taught artist who has developed her own unique style. The majority of her work is done in oil on linen which suits her evocative and colourful marine subjects well.
Anne exhibits her work regularly and opens her art studio in Tighnabruaich to visitors. She likes to support her favourite animal welfare charities through working as an artist.
