I am an artist with a collection of art work that focuses on evocative seascapes, yachts under full sail or moored quietly at anchor, luminous crashing waves and trawlers surrounded by swirling sea birds. Painting in oils, I use a variety of techniques to create atmosphere and soft textures.
Situated in Tighnabruaich, Argyll, my studio is open to visitors throughout the year. Tighnabruaich village nestles along the banks of The Kyles Of Bute with unspoilt views across the water to The Isle Of Bute and Arran in the distance. With inspiring seascapes, landscapes and a wide variety of wildlife all on the doorstep, it’s a unique location that attracts many artists.
COMING UP - COWAL OPEN STUDIOS 25-28th SEPTEMBER 2015.
The many professional artists – painters, potters, sculptors, furniture makers, jewellers, textile artists and photographers, who work on the Cowal Peninsula in the midst of the stunning Argyll countryside, open their doors to visitors on these four days (and on other times by appointment).
